A private practice built on one simple belief — everyone deserves to be seen.
Hi, I'm Justin.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Summit Ridge Counseling. Every day, I get to walk alongside people as they work toward healing, growth, and wholeness — and I genuinely love what I do.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages and from all walks of life. While I enjoy supporting a wide range of clients, my heart is especially drawn to kids, teens, families, and couples. I find real meaning in helping families communicate better, strengthen their relationships, and create healthier patterns together.

Research-backed. Warm in practice. Honest about the work.
I'm trained in helping children and adolescents work through challenges like ADHD, anxiety, depression, oppositional behavior, and the struggles that show up at home or in school. I also have advanced training in the Gottman Method — a research-based approach that helps couples improve communication, deepen connection, and build a more fulfilling life together.
For individuals, I draw primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Both are well-researched, practical, and designed to give you real tools — not just insight.
My approach comes from a place of genuine spirituality, but never in a preachy way. It honors your personal beliefs and story. If faith is an important part of your life, we can integrate that into your sessions. If not, that's completely okay too. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and help you move toward becoming the healthiest, most whole version of yourself.
I started Summit Ridge Counseling with a simple goal: to create a warm, supportive space where people can find hope, clarity, and healing. Whether you're here for yourself, your child, or your relationship — I'm here to help you feel seen, supported, and equipped for lasting change.
What working together actually looks like.
A real first conversation
Before anything else, we talk. I want to understand what brought you here, what you're hoping will change, and whether I'm the right therapist for the job. No pressure either way.
A plan that fits you
I don't use a one-size-fits-all protocol. We build an approach around your specific goals, your pace, and the real constraints of your life.
Actual tools
Insight is helpful. Tools are better. Expect practical skills you can use between sessions — not just 50 minutes of talking in a room.
Honest check-ins
Every few weeks, we look at what's working and what isn't. If you're not making progress, I want to know — so we can change course.
Covered by most major insurers.
I'm in-network with Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Optum, GEHA, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. If you don't see yours listed, reach out — I can often help you check your out-of-network benefits.
